Paranormal After Dark

Saturday 9 May 8-1am

With roots dating back to the 1400s and various uses throughout the years. The Museum buildings today were previously a medieval guildhall and later courthouse, grand private house, coach house and later a Grammer School and Masters house. In 2012 renovation work in the Museum garden revealed 5 burials dating from the 7th century.

Reported Paranormal activity:

With so much history it’s no surprise that the buildings and grounds host various ghosts and spirits.

Staff at the Museum often hear unexplained footsteps coming from upper floors when no one else is in the building. On previous Ghost Hunts with Paranormal Group Spirit Chasers, people have encountered various different unexplained evidence from the building’s past. Including children’s voices being heard laughing and crying and strange unexplained burning and floral smells. What could this be?

The presence of an unhappy male spirit has often come through to investigators, is he trying to ward off people as he makes it known you are not welcome. On Spirit Chasers last visit one of the team encountered this very entity. The team member refused to enter a certain part of the building, various EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena) have been recorded throughout different parts of the building, doors mysteriously opening and closing on their own and a female spirit has been seen on the grounds.

Who are these ghosts? Are you brave enough to investigate the building and try and find out some of the hidden secrets that they carry to this day?

On the Night:

The paranormal group Spirit Chasers will have designated lead investigators to help guide you through the building with full use of their equipment. However they only guide you, it is your night so you lead, they follow.

You will have access to almost every part of the museum including the eerie Attic space, the Cellar where you can see the original well, the coach house and surrounding grounds (outside area subject to weather conditions).

Free tea/coffee and biscuits

100% of the Ticket sales go straight back into keeping the Museum open for everyone’s enjoyment.

Price: £35.00 per person

Over 18 years of age only, please  note that some of the areas investigated are only accessible via step stairs.
