Wild Bucks: FREE Kids Science Workshop 23 May 2026
Learn all about the natural world with our Wild Bucks science workshops!
In each of our sessions, we'll be exploring the science behind the local wildlife of Buckinghamshire and looking at how we can protect it through hands-on experiments.
Session One: UNDERSTAND 10.15-11.15am
We'll be looking at what pollinators are, how camouflage works and how birds fly.
Session Two: EXPLORE 12.15-1.15pm
We'll be exploring threats to the natural world: what effect does CO2 have, how can we filter polluted water and how best do you clean up an oil spill.
Session Three: PROTECT 2.15-3.15pm
We'll be finding out how we can protect the world around us by utilising different forms of renewable energy by testing solar batteries and making our own wind turbines.
Cost: These workshops are in development and are therefore being offered for FREE: we are looking for people to take part as part of a focus group, to let us know what you enjoyed and what needs work.
Supervision: Parents/carers are recquired to remain in attendence during the session.
These workshops are made possible due to funding from The Royal Society.
